It really became crystal clear how our every day interactions with people are all tests that determine whether we are going to become lifegivers or destroyers. They are ALL opportunities for us to practice the Fruit of the Spirit that we read about in Galatians 5:16-25. Are we going to walk in the fruit of the flesh or the fruit of the Spirit?
16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
First we need to identify the real enemy, it's not the person who is annoying us or persecuting us, they are simply a puppet being used by the enemy. Each of us gets to choose who the Puppetmaster is in our lives, because at any given moment, we are either Abba's mouthpiece or the Adversary's mouthpiece. We get to choose.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Once we are able to separate the sin from the person, it is much easier to recognize the enemy for who he is and fight the enemy with the proper weapons. Now we all know about the armour in Eph 6 and how the weapon is the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. But have you considered the idea that the Fruit of the Spirit are also there for us as weapons? I needed to shift my understanding from fleshly mindset to Spiritual mindset and then I understood the power of the Fruit of the Spirit and THAT excited me! Let me share a quote from the book.
Everything that the enemy seeks to bring against us, we can turn it around by moving in the opposite spirit with the fruits of the Holy Spirit and afflict him instead. When you respond with a negative thought, emotion or action, you are empowering the enemy against yourself-and opening the door for him to come and steal, kill and destroy in your life. That is why God is trying to change us, because He wants us to get into a place where we are victorious overcomers who are more than conquerors. When the enemy realizes that you are determined to apply the fruits of the Spirit to every person and relationship, he is going to look at you and realizes that he can't beat you, so eventually he won't even bother to show up for the fight! He will think, "I can't beat this woman or this man, so let's forget it!" What does it mean for you to be more than a conqueror? When the enemy fails to show!
When we apply the fruits of the Spirit, nothing that the enemy can think of can work against us, because Scripture says that "against such things there is no law". The fruits of the Spirit are such a powerful weapon in Spiritual warfare-that it renders the enemy totally useless, because there is absolutely nothing that the enemy can come up with to beat the fruits of the Spirit.
When we practice the Fruits of the Spirit, it is worship to Abba and warfare to the enemy. THIS is what it means to be a worshipping warrior bride!
What does moving in the fruit of the Spirit mean? It means you have to stop complaining, stop whining, stop being in self-pity...don't play the victim...quit moaning because that is all the worship language of hell! You are in the kingdom-so you are rejoicing, praising, and giving thanks-and you are learning to war and to worship through an overcoming lifestyle of the fruits of the Spirit! You can't do both! You have got to choose one! Life or death. Blessings or curses. You get to choose.

I've got to say, I really like new beginnings. It's the end of the 7th Biblical month and even though it's kind of the middle of the year, it's the beginning of the new Torah cycle all around the world. We have the opportunity to read it anew and learn more with each cycle, going a bit deeper each year we read through it. Battles

There is such a huge battle going on. While it is in fact invisible most of the time, there comes a time when it DOES become visible and that is often unsettling. I think that is why North America is the way it is. Set-Apart Believers from almost all denominations out there have turned their eye from anything unlovely and just discards it. I am guilty of this myself. I took Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely,, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things." to a legalistic level. I not only used it as my guideline for entertainment (which I think is the appropriate use for this verse) but I also used it as a way to set boundaries for myself. After a year of going through the many videos and reading through the articles and book by Dr. MK Strydom, I'm finally at a point where it's time to put what I have been learning into practice. I've been sharing on Facebook a lot of the things I've been learning and that has generated some great conversations! But the bottom line is, I/we need to die to our fleshly desires if we want our lamp filled with oil and to have extra to last until Yeshua returns. I now understand why we can't share our oil with others, all I can do is encourage others to take the journey of sanctification along with me.
