Cataracts

If you don't yet have Dr. Strydom's latest book, you can find it HERE. On page 982, begins the section dealing with cataracts. Now first I just want to point out that not every issue has a sin root....we read this from Mayoclinic.org,
"Most cataracts develop when aging or injury changes the tissue that makes up the eye's lens. Proteins and fibers in the lens begin to break down. This causes vision to become hazy or cloudy. Some disorders passed down from parents that cause other health problems can increase your risk of cataracts. Cataracts also can be caused by other eye conditions, past eye surgery or medical conditions such as diabetes. Long-term use of steroid medicines also may cause cataracts to develop."
So we see even in the above quote, it can be passed down from parents which is the same thing as generational sin issues, but it can also develop from an injury or previous surgery on the eye etc. Okay so let's see what exactly IS the sin issue at play here? Judgement, criticism and fault-finding. Ouch. Yup, I recognize that in my own life. Okay, let's get to work! I've got to say, I really like new beginnings. It's the end of the 7th Biblical month and even though it's kind of the middle of the year, it's the beginning of the new Torah cycle all around the world. We have the opportunity to read it anew and learn more with each cycle, going a bit deeper each year we read through it. Battles

There is such a huge battle going on. While it is in fact invisible most of the time, there comes a time when it DOES become visible and that is often unsettling. I think that is why North America is the way it is. Set-Apart Believers from almost all denominations out there have turned their eye from anything unlovely and just discards it. I am guilty of this myself. I took Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely,, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things." to a legalistic level. I not only used it as my guideline for entertainment (which I think is the appropriate use for this verse) but I also used it as a way to set boundaries for myself. The Bible From a Medical Perspective/Medicine From a Biblical Perspective-Dr Strydom

After a year of going through the many videos and reading through the articles and book by Dr. MK Strydom, I'm finally at a point where it's time to put what I have been learning into practice. I've been sharing on Facebook a lot of the things I've been learning and that has generated some great conversations! But the bottom line is, I/we need to die to our fleshly desires if we want our lamp filled with oil and to have extra to last until Yeshua returns. I now understand why we can't share our oil with others, all I can do is encourage others to take the journey of sanctification along with me.
